What currencies are supported on my Karma Card?

The United States Dollar (USD) is the de facto currency of Karma Card. If you use your card outside the United States, you will be debited in US dollars based on the local currency to the USD exchange rate.

How do I use my Karma Card with my digital wallet?

Log in to your Karma account and go to the Card menu so that you have your card details ready, or make sure you have your physical card on hand.

To add your card to Apple Pay using your iPhone's Apple Wallet:
Open the Apple Wallet app.Tap the "+" sign in the top right corner.You can either manually enter your card details or use your iPhone's camera to scan your card.Follow the instructions to complete the card verification process.If prompted, request a verification code via SMS to confirm your card.Once verified, your card will be added to Apple Wallet and ready to use with Apple Pay.

To add your Karma Card to your Google Pay wallet:
Open the Google Wallet app on your phone.Tap the "+ Add to Wallet" button at the bottom of the screen.Tap "Payment card."Select "New credit or debit card."Use your camera to scan your card or enter the card information manually.Tap "Save" at the bottom of the screen.Read and accept the Issuer Terms if prompted.If needed, verify your payment method by choosing an option from the list.

To add your Karma Card to your Samsung Pay wallet:
Open the Samsung Pay app on your phone.Tap "Cards" from the menu.Tap the "Add" button at the bottom of the screen.Select "Add credit/debit card."Use your camera to scan your card or enter the card information manually.Follow the instructions to register your card.Agree to the card's terms and conditions.Contact the card issuer if you have any questions about the terms.

How do I activate my card?

a. Digital cards are automatically activated after completing your application and verification. You can use them in your preferred mobile payment wallets, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

b. Physical cards come with an activation code. For security purposes, physical cards will not be able to make purchases until they are activated. Karma Card provides two ways to activate your physical card:

i. You can activate your card yourself via the Karma web app. To do so, log into your Karma User Account through your internet browser, and navigate to the Karma Card settings. Click on Activate physical card, and then you will be prompted to fill in the activation code that came with your card.

ii. Alternatively, you can call the automated card activation line. During this call, you’ll be prompted to enter the last 4 digits of the card number and may be asked to confirm the phone number associated with your account. If the initial verification fails, you’ll be prompted to enter additional data such as the last 4 digits of your social security number (SSN), the ZIP code where your card was received, or your date of birth. If this additional verification fails, the call will be transferred to Customer Support.

Once your identity has been validated and your card is activated, you'll be asked to create a 4-digit security code or PIN. As a reminder, be careful to never share your card PIN and CVC with anyone. Karma Customer Support or employees will never ask you for your card PIN or CVC.

How do I add money to my Karma Card?

You can add money to your Karma Card by sending money from one of your other accounts (bank account, Venmo, PayPal, or direct deposit).


a) Bank transfer from one of your other bank accounts: Click the + Deposit button below your card, then click on Bank Transfer. Here you’ll find your Karma Card bank details which you can use to send a transfer to your Karma Card from your bank’s mobile app or online portal. It may take a day or two for your bank to make a transfer since they will verify your Karma Card account with small test transfers. Once the account is verified, you’ll be able to transfer funds to your Karma Card.


b) Venmo: To add funds to your Karma Card through Venmo, you’ll need money in your Venmo account or a Venmo debit card. Click the + Deposit button below your card, then click on Venmo and follow the instructions to add your Karma Card to your Venmo account and transfer money.


c) PayPal: To add funds to your Karma Card through PayPal, click the + Deposit button below your card, then click on PayPal and follow the instructions to add your Karma Card to your PayPal account and transfer money.


d) Direct Deposit: This option requires a little more additional effort to set up, but once it’s done, your paychecks or benefit checks will be deposited directly to your Karma Card account, and will be automatically available to you. Pick up a direct deposit form from your employer or benefits manager and complete it using your Karma account and routing information. There may be a delay of 2-4 weeks from the time you submit your direct deposit form until you see your first paycheck in your account. You will be notified when the first check is deposited to your account.

e) Deposit cash at retail locations: You can deposit cash to your Karma account at many retail locations in the United States.

1. Give your physical debit card to the cashier and tell them that you would like to add cash to your debit card.

2. The cashier will check if a cash reload is possible at their location.

3. If the retail location is in the cash reload network, decide how much money you’d like to add to your account. The minimum amount that can be added is $20, and the maximum amount that can be added is $400.

4. Pay the chosen amount + any fees charged by the retail store, which can only be paid in cash. For example, if you wish to load $100 onto your card, and the fee is $1.95, you’ll need to pay.

5. The cash added to your card will be available for immediate use.

Getting started with your Karma Card.

Karma Card allows you to spend money around the globe and operates like a regular bank card. Currently, Karma Cards are only available to U.S. residents.Here is how to request a card:

a. Log in to your Karma User Account and navigate to the Card section.

b. If you are in the Card section, click on Apply for Card, and you will be prompted to fill in some information about yourself. You might be required to submit documentation to verify your identity and address.

c. Once you have provided the required information, it usually takes less than a minute to get verified, and if approved,  you can start using your digital card right away.

Are there limits for receiving money to my Karma Card?

The maximum daily instant transfer amount (US) is $5,000.00 per day. You can make a maximum of 10 instant transfers per day to your card, with a single instant transfer (US) limit of $5,000.00.

How do I check my card details?

To view your card details:
a. Log in to your Karma account, and navigate to the Card section of the app
b. You can click on the sections of the card graphics to reveal your card number, expiration date, and CVC and copy the details to your clipboard. For your protection, you will need to go through a security verification to get access.

Can I get a physical Karma Card?

Yes, you can have both a physical and a digital card. The card number is the same for both cards. You can order a physical card at any time as long as you have an existing digital card.

How do I change my PIN?

To change the PIN to your card: Go to the Card section of the application a. Click on Change PIN
b. Enter the current PIN for your card, then enter the new PIN twice and confirm that you are the one changing the card PIN, and you're done.

I forgot my card PIN.

If you forget your PIN, you can go to the card menu and select the option, Change PIN.

A transaction was made on my card that I do not recognize.

If you notice a transaction that you did not make, we advise you to go to your account and block the card immediately as well as submit a dispute on that transaction. We will work to ensure your funds are returned to your account.


What if my card gets lost or stolen?

If your card gets lost or stolen, we advise that you immediately block your card. We also advise that you report a lost, stolen, or compromised card immediately by calling +1-855-459-0326. We will immediately cancel the card and issue you a new card.

How do I block or unblock my digital card(s)?

You can block/unblock your card(s) at any time.To do so: a. Go to the Settings section in the app b. Slide to the card you wish to block c. Select Block card to block the card, or Unblock card to unblock the card

Note: We advise blocking cards only if you want to prevent transactions on that card. The merchant's point of sale will reject transactions attempted using a blocked card.

Are there any fees to have a card?

There is no charge to obtain the VIRTUAL AND PHYSICAL KARMA CARDS.**Additional fees may apply, please check the card holder agreement of our Partner.

My physical Karma Card has not arrived yet.

Once we ship your card to you, you should receive it within 7 business days. However, deliveries might take longer due to bad weather or public holidays. We ask that you wait a couple of extra business days before contacting us regarding your card’s shipment.

What’s the difference between a Karma Card and a Karmified Card?

In general, Karma Card has higher rewards, can be used in more stores, and offers you the chance to keep the cashback you earn. More detailed answers are below.

Can I Karmify any card?

Most credit and debit cards can be Karmified with ease. There are a few exceptions to this. If your card is not eligible, you may see an error message stating that you cannot Karmify that card.

Can I earn cashback with a Karmified card?

With a Karmified card, you can earn up to 5% cashback in your Karma User Account when shopping with participating merchants.

If I Karmify my credit or debit card, do I lose access to the card’s rewards program?

Connecting a card to your Karma User Account has no impact on your card’s native rewards program. Think of your Karma Cashback as bonus rewards!

Where can I earn cashback with a Karmified card?

In general, only national chains and online retailers offer cashback for transactions on Karmified cards. Please check the cashback map for details. To take advantage of higher cashback rates and partnerships with local merchants, use your Karma Card.

Can I keep my cashback with a Karmified card?

Cashback cannot be credited to an external card. If you have set one or more charities as cashback recipients, any cashback earned with a Karmified card will be automatically disbursed to those organizations. If no cashback recipients have been selected, you will receive a prompt from the system to do so.

How do I Karmify a credit or debit card?

Connect any card to your Karma User Account in the Cards tab by clicking on the Add any bank card button. You will be prompted to enter your user name and password for the external account. Once this information has been verified, the pop-up window will close and you should see the Karmified card in your Cards tab.

What is cashback?

Cashback allows customers to receive cash rewards when paying with their Karma Cards with select merchants.

How do I earn cashback?

Once you activate your Karma Card, your card is automatically eligible to receive cashback whenever you spend with your card. There are some additional special cashback offers that you can find in your Cashback tab of the Karma application.

What percentage of cashback do I receive when I spend with my Karma Card?

There is no predetermined cashback percentage because cashback incentives are determined by participating retailers and vary by merchant, although cashback from retailers can be up to 10%.

When will my cashback reach my Karma User Account?

Currently, cashback takes 30-90 days to process. You should receive a notification within 24 hours of your eligible purchase that your cashback is processing.

What is Cashforward?

Karma Card Cashforward allows you to donate your cashback to charitable causes and foundations directly from your account. To set up your donations, go to the Cashforward tab, where you can select charities and the percent of your cashback that you want to donate.

What types of charitable organizations are available?

The charities are categorized based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our donation partner reviews each charity for compliance checks with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and Sanctions lists, as well as other checks to make sure that the charity is legitimate. We also provide details on each charity with links to their websites so that you can do your research to be sure that you want to donate to the charity.


Does Karma take a fee from my donation?

Karma does not charge any fees for donations. Although there are fees associated with getting your donation to the charity, Karma Card pays for those fees for you so that 100% of your donation is received by the charity.

I want a refund for a donation I made to a charity.

Karma does not provide refunds for charitable donations; however, in the event of fraud, we will cooperate with the appropriate authorities to report any fraudulent charity.

Can I add or suggest my preferred charity?

Yes, you can suggest a charity you wish to donate to on the platform. If the suggested charity isn’t already enabled, Karma can reach out to the organization to be added to the platform.

General Questions
How do I opt in to fund a tree with every Karma Card purchase?

Log in to your Karma Card account via app.getkarmacard.com, then look for the button under your card(s) that says 🌳plant trees. You’ll be directed to your Karma Card settings, where you’ll see Add a dollar to every purchase and plant a tree with a toggle. You can opt in or out at any time using the toggle. Once you’ve opted in and planted your first tree, the button will disappear, but you can always find the toggle in the Karma Card settings menu.

Where are the trees I’ve funded?

Thank you for supporting our tree planting partnership! It may take a day or two for your transaction to clear. Once it does, you’ll see a tree symbol next to every purchase that funded the planting of a tree.

Is there a Karma mobile app?

All of your account information and the tools for managing it are available at app.getkarmacard.com. A dedicated mobile app is in the works and we hope to make it available soon for Apple and Android devices.
